NCLEX-RN in New York for nurses with a foreign diploma

Nurses educated in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, or Uzbekistan often search “NCLEX RN New York”, “иностранная медсестра Нью-Йорк”, “NYSED RN”. New York does not automatically require a U.S. nursing degree. It reviews the foreign education and decides whether you may sit NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN.

The path is administrative before it is academic: NYSED application, verification of the diploma and transcript, sometimes TruMerit / CGFNS, then Pearson VUE registration, then Authorization to Test (ATT).

Endorsement from another state

If you already hold an RN or LPN license in another U.S. state, New York may be a licensure-by-endorsement file, not a first-time NCLEX file. The documents change. We name that before you pay for the wrong sequence.
