B-1/B-2 tourist visa: DS-160 and the documents for a visitor visa

B-1/B-2 is the common U.S. visitor visa: B-1 for certain business visits, B-2 for tourism, family, and medical travel. People search “B-1/B-2 visa”, “tourist visa USA”, “DS-160 tourist”, “виза туриста в США”, “документы на B-2”, “приглашение в США для визы”, “гостевая виза США”.

DS-160 is the online application. The interview is at a consulate. An invitation letter from a relative in the United States is supporting paper — it is not a visa. DOCROOM prepares the document side: the form from your facts, translations, and a file you can actually carry to the appointment.

What the B-1/B-2 file usually includes

A valid passport; the DS-160 confirmation page; the visa appointment confirmation; a simple itinerary or invitation where one exists; evidence of ties to the home country (work, study, property, family) as papers, not as a story; bank statements or other financial pages the consulate’s list asks for; and certified translations of any document that is not in English.

Travel dates, prior U.S. trips, and employer names on DS-160 have to match the stamps and the employment letters. One invented date is worse than a short, accurate form.
